I met my beautiful husband when I was in college. I saw him from across the room in one of the college bars and was instantly curious. Of course, being a woman, I played hard to get but he eventually got me being the smooth talker that he is. Flash forward 6 years later where he proposed to me in the privacy of our apartment. I always joke and say it was the most unromantic proposal but deep down, it suited him. It was simple. He had the ring, he woke me up, he asked. For anyone that knows him, that makes sense. The story of how I happened to find my stunning Amsale gown was one of fate. I actually already had another dress purchased before I found my "Bali". It was when shopping for a veil with my friend Esther for her wedding that I saw the "Bali" on the rack. Yes, even on the rack it immediately caught my eye. I'm a girl that knows what I like and what I want as soon as I see it. Just ask my husband. I hesitated knowing that if I tried it on, I would instantly fall in love with it. The temptation was too hard. I put the dress on and it took my breath away. It was so unique and very different from other dresses i've seen. It was perfect and completely my style. The next day I made the purchase.
But it didn't stop there. A week later, while looking for a dress for my "trash the dress" shoot, the lovely ladies at Belle Vie showed me Amsale's Little White Dresses. When I put the "Lexi" on, a huge grin came on my face. It was the cutest and sexiest little white dress i've ever seen. I'm short and somehow it made my legs look super long. The icing on the cake was when I met Amsale herself! That was an amazing experience. She came to Chicago for a cocktail party event for her brides at Belle Vie and I was invited. It was so great to meet the designer herself since I am so obsessed with her dresses. If I could have, I would have wore the "Candice", "Ibiza", "Eden", "Coco", and "Reese" at different times on my wedding day.
Thank you so much Amsale for your vision and creativity. I felt like the most beautiful bride on my wedding day. I had so many women come up to me and ask me who designed the dress and that they had never seen anything like it. Definitely show stopping! If you ever need anyone to try out your dresses, feel free to give me a call. I wouldn't mind running around Chicago in your dresses. (I think the proof is in the pictures)
Thank you thank you thank you. You are amazing!
XOXOXO,
Shai
