A NEW YORK CITY WEDDING
I met my husband in the Summer of 2006, I was interning in NYC at a financial firm, Smith Barney, where my husband was working at the time. He would walk by my desk every day to strike up conversation and it was never anything more than hi/hello and small talk like where each of us were from and went to school. After that summer, I left to go back to school. Flash forward, 5 years later I am living and working in NYC when my sister invites me to an office happy hour at her new company, Morgan Stanley. I was at the bar across the street so I walked over to meet her and her new coworkers.
Before I could even find my sister at the bar, my husband (to be) spotted me and said I know you, you used to intern back when the firm was Smith Barney. The firms had since merged and my sister ended up working as my husband’s back up assistant! We spent the whole night chatting away and catching up and the rest is history!
I knew I wanted a classic and elegant NYC wedding. I always envisioned my look that day as a modern day Breakfast at Tiffany’s. I saw the Amsale “Jane” dress online and immediately booked an appointment at the boutique on Madison. I tried on one or two other dresses but I always knew that I would end up in the Jane. It was definitely meant to be and ever since the day of the wedding I have been told I looked just like Audrey 🙂
